Family Boat Building Program offered May 7-8
Spend Mother's Day weekend with your family creating a boat you can enjoy all summer!
Registration is open for the Gig Harbor Boatshop’s Family Boat Building Program at the historic Eddon Boatyard in downtown Gig Harbor. Each group is assigned its own wooden boat expert who will guide your team every step of the way through the construction of a 12-foot, 90-pound Salt Bay Skiff. On Sunday, after a ceremonial launch and row on Gig Harbor Bay, the skiff will be yours to take home and enjoy forever.
Each session spans a Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The next session is May 7-8. Additional sessions are scheduled for June 4-5, July 9-10, August 6-7, September 3-4, October 1-2, and November 12-13. Children age 12 and older are welcome.
