Fatal Crash As Car Strikes Pole On SR 16
A car struck a pole and then fell 60 feet down an embankment into a drainage ditch.

GIG HARBOR, WA - Police are investigating following a fatal crash on westbound SR 16 Tuesday night. A car struck a pole and ended up falling 60 feet down an embankment into a drainage ditch. The on-ramp at 24th Street NW was blocked following the wreck at 8:42 p.m.
The driver was a 57-year-old Shelton man in a 2005 Dodge Ram. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
