Fire Damages Home In Wollochet Area

The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m., according to Gig Harbor fire.

GIG HARBOR, WA - Two people were able to safely escape a house fire in the Wollochet area on Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 3:30 p.m. When Gig Harbor firefighters arrived, they traced the fire to a wall in a bedroom. They put the fire out quickly, but stayed at the scene to help get smoke out of the house.

Working smoke detectors alerted the two people in the home, allowing them to get out quickly. There were no injuries.
