These days, we’re all watching every dollar. From coupons to Craigslist, local families are taking advantage of a variety of deals to stretch their budgets even further.

This weekly column is dedicated to giving you five great local deals each week that will help your family save money, and, since we are doing the legwork for you, save time, too.

Your guide for this low-cost journey is a self-proclaimed coupon queen who can empty the Baby Gap’s sales racks and the cereal aisle at Safeway for mere dollars.

1. Groupon/DiapersDirect.com
The deal: Get $50 worth of diapers and wellness products from this online drugstore that sells such brands as Seventh Generation, Huggies and Boudreaux’s. Shipping is free on all Groupon orders.

2. Horizon Organics
The deal: Sign up for Horizon’s E-club and gain access to printable coupons for $1 off two half-gallons, or $0.55 off three single-serve organic milks. Coupons update regularly, and an offer for $1 off any item comes up periodically, so check back.

The deal: Sign up for the email list at this online retailer of luxury baby goods and receive a $10 coupon code to use on their website (excluding sale items or shipping). They offer chenille hats, burp rags and bibs all priced under $15, and shipping is just $5. That could mean a snazzy shower gift for a mere $10.

The deal: Kids eat free on Tuesdays with the purchase of any regular price adult entrée per child under 12. Options include chicken or beef tacos; a cheese quesadilla; and chicken bites, and are served with a beverage.
