Fundraiser For Kyle Stillion, Gig Harbor Teen Killed Along Key Peninsula Highway
Stillion, Peninsula High School junior, died Thursday after he was hit by a car.

GIG HARBOR, WA - Friends of Kyle Stillion have established a fundraiser to pay for his funeral and memorial service. Stillion, a junior at Peninsula High School, died Thursday after being hit by a car while walking along Key Peninsula Highway.
According to the GoFundMe fundraiser, Stillion was walking to the store when he was hit.
"Kyle was a smart kid, he had a very bright future ahead of him. He had a couple rough patches but he successfully made it through," Jasmine Lamoureux wrote on the fundraiser page. "Funerals are not cheap and our goal is $10,000 to find a place to bury him and have a memorial."

Police believe the 61-year-old driver drifted onto the shoulder, hitting Stillion. He was pronounced dead at St. Joseph's Medical Center.
The Peninsula School District in a statement said it would make grief counselors available Friday for students.

"It is with great sadness we confirm the loss of a Peninsula High School student in a tragic accident," the district wrote in a statement. "Our hearts are with the family and friends. Our Staff and students welcome your positive thoughts."
