  • Why Go: Join the Peninsula Civic Orchestra this Saturday at Peninsula High School for its annual holiday concert. Enjoy a delightful selection of Christmas music along with a few familiar pieces.

  • Where/When: 7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17 at the Bremerton Ice Center.
  • Why Go: Come get into the holiday spirit as figure skaters, including , put a cool spin on a popular children’s classic. The show will feature the talents of 35 skaters ranging in age from 3 to 65 performing to all of your favorite Jungle Book songs including, “The Bare Necessities,” “I Wan’na Be Like You,” “That’s What Friends Are For,” and “Colonel Hathi’s March." Enjoy the show!
  • Pricing: $6 for general admission and $4 for children 5 and under.

  • Where/When: 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18 at the Fox Island United Church of Christ.
  • Why Go: Join the Fox Island United Church of Christ this Sunday as they revive a great holiday tradition by gathering to sing along to Handel's brilliant and moving masterpiece, Messiah. The sing-along will be led by Minister of Music, Wayne Lackman. Please bring your own score if you have one.
  • Pricing: Free. There will be a designated offering to benefit the local Food Backpacks 4 Kids program which feeds struggling children and families on the weekends.

 

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 18 at .
  • Why Go: Celebrate the holiday season and get some exercise at the Ugly Sweater 5k this Sunday. The race will take you throughout the trails of Sehmel Homestead Park. The starting line will be in the Meadow, so be prepared for a muddy event and don't forget to wear your ugly holiday sweaters!

Pricing: $20 online by Dec. 16, $30 day of race.
