Gig Harbor House Fire Causes Heavy Damage

The two-alarm fire broke out Tuesday night along Kopachuck Drive.

GIG HARBOR, WA - A house fire that broke out on Tuesday night caused an estimated $400,000 in damage to a home along Kopachuck Drive Northwest, according to reports.

The fire broke out around 8 p.m. Tuesday. A neighbor spotted smoke coming out of the home and called 911, according to the Tacoma News-Tribune. Firefighters had a difficult time finding the source of the fire, and Gig Harbor got assistance from a Tacoma fire unit.

The fire may have been caused by a resident of the home who was soldering pipes, the News-Tribune reported. No one was injured in the fire.
