Gig Harbor Man Hurt In Bremerton 3-Car Crash

The crash happened around 7 a.m. Wednesday near downtown Bremerton, according to Washington State Patrol.

BREMERTON, WA - A 36-year-old Gig Harbor man was injured in a three-car collision near downtown Bremerton Tuesday morning, Washington State Patrol is reporting.

The accident happened around 6:45 a.m. along Charleston Boulevard, just south of Naval Base Kitsap. Michael N. Bates, of Gig Harbor, was rear-ended by another driver and taken to Harrison-Bremerton Hospital for treatment. The hospital could not provide an immediate update on his condition, but he was being treated in the emergency room.

According to state police, Bates was driving behind another car, driven by Luke D. Smith, 23, of Bremerton. Bates and Smith slowed for traffic, according to state police, when a third car behind them, driven by 38-year-old Angela Ehrhardt of Shelton, ran into them. Ehrhardt's car hit Bates, and Bates' car was pushed into Smith's.
