Gig Harbor Police Arrest Man Accused Of Fleeing Car Fire
Gig Harbor Police say they've arrested a man who fled a car fire Sunday after determining he had an outstanding warrant.

GIG HARBOR, WA — Police in Gig Harbor say they arrested a man after he fled from a car fire Sunday evening.
Officers say a car caught fire along 38th Avenue near the intersection of Hunt Street before 7 p.m.. According to police, instead of trying to put it out or calling for help the driver took off on foot.

After putting out the fire, officers say they searched the area and found the car's driver hiding behind a nearby building. Police quickly determined that the man was wanted on an outstanding domestic violence warrant, and booked him into jail.
