Grover was a maintenance worker at The Lakes retirement community. Last spring, Gig Harbor police were repeatedly called to The Lakes over reports of stolen property. Police discovered that Grover was selling some of the missing property online, including TVs and power tools.

Grover and Van Arsdale committed the thefts over the course of about 13 months, the prosecutor's office says. One item stolen was a wedding ring that a resident of The Lakes had bought for his wife.
