Gig Harbor Teen Killed In Crash
The Peninsula High School student was walking on Key Peninsula Highway Thursday when he was struck by a car and killed.

GIG HARBOR, WA - A Peninsula High School student was walking on Key Peninsula Highway Thursday when he was struck by a car driven by a 61-year-old woman who drifted onto the road's shoulder, according to The News Tribune. The teen was transferred to St. Jospeh's Medical Center and pronounced dead. The woman was not intoxicated.
The school released a statement on the incident, calling it a sad day for the district: "Our hearts are with the family and friends. Our staff and students welcome your positive thoughts."
The school will have additional counselors on hand Friday.
