Gig Harbor Woman Involved In Vehicular Assault Crash: Police

The crash happened near 7 p.m. Sunday in Port Orchard, according to Washington State Patrol.

GIG HARBOR, WA - A Gig Harbor woman was the passenger in a car involved in a vehicular assault crash in Port Orchard Sunday night, according to police. The crash happened just before 7 p.m. Sunday along SR 160, just a short distance east of the SR 16 on-ramps.

According to state patrol, two cars were headed westbound along SR 160 near Geiger Road when the first car, driven by Rebecca Gann, 34, of Helena, Mont., rear-ended the other vehicle. Michelle Meyers, 50, of Gig Harbor, was the passenger in Gann's car.

The driver of the other vehicle, Kyle York, 38, of Port Orchard, and his passenger, a child, were not injured. Neither Gann nor Meyers were injured either.

State patrol said that Gann caused the crash by driving inattentively and are pursuing a vehicular assault charge against her.
