GIG HARBOR, WA — Gig Harbor police are looking for a man believed to have groped a woman while she was jogging on Sunday morning. The woman was running alone along Cushman Trail when a man came up from behind and grabbed her. Police say after she yelled for help the man let go of her and ran away.

The woman told investigators her attacker was a white man in his early 30s, about 6-feet tall with an average build, wearing a hoodie and athletic two-toned shoes. Police released a sketch on Monday, based on the description.

Police said while incidents like this are uncommon in Gig Harbor, runners should jog in pairs or groups, stay vigilant and bring along cell phones. Officers interviewed one potential witness after the incident and swept the area, but no one matching the description was found.
