Letter to the Editor: Peninsula Robotics Scores Big in Botball
Peninsula High School's robotics teacher Sheri Ahlheim wrote to Gig Harbor Patch to share how her robotics team did at the NorCal Regional Botball Competition last weekend.
The PHS Robotics team, the only Northwest entry in the , were amazing! They placed 6th in the seeding rounds, 6th in the double elimination tournament, 2nd in the onsite presentation and 7th overall.
They should have won the adjunct Alliance tournament, but lost to a technicality, instead coming in third.
But the biggest triumph (with a really big shiny trophy), is the Spirit of Botball Award, personifying good sportsmanship, integrity, graciousness, a willingness to help other teams and judges, all accompanied by a positive competitive spirit (really! The Botball officials said all that!).
You should be extremely PHS Proud of Brendan Greetham, Cameron McMillan, Kelson Mills, Christopher Rodgers and Nathan Stonestreet. And check out their really big shiny trophy!
