Land Use Decisions on the Peninsulas: Role of Community Plans for Pierce County Development

Population growth on the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsulas of Pierce County is evident to all residents. It’s no wonder. These verdant hills and lovely shorelines make living peacefully close to Nature possible. Two Community Plans that advocate specific land use visions and policies were crafted to protect the highly valued features of these two communities in unincorporated Pierce County.

March 14, from 2 to 4 pm at the Harbor History Museum, the local Unit of League of Women Voters of Tacoma-Pierce County will take a closer look at how these plans function to preserve the character of our communities.

Public is cordially invited.
