This Campaign
What is the primary reason you are running for this office? I see first hand how the economy has force cuts to our school programs and activities. We must work to keep our class sizes to a number that enhances learning and rewards the teachers for going the extra mile with our students.
I want to be able to continue the work the board has started in managing through this tough economic time. As a businessman, I bring a unique insight to the determinations of our school board. I understand the bottom line.
We have an outstanding school district. We can and must keep it strong. My only agenda is to be a part of creating the best school district in the state. As our schools improve, so too will the desire for people to stay and live in our community which will help all of us.
What will be your top three priorities if you get elected?
- Get the levy passed
- Get a bond issue passed
- Provide leadership on financial issues.
What sets you apart from the other candidates and/or previous office holders?
I have no children in the school and as such have no previous agenda. I am well versed in the world of finance. My main interest is in maintaining the high standards and results of the school district.
How much money do you expect your campaign to spend on this election? Less than $1,000
Official endorsements: Jill Guernsey, John Earl, Dexter Reuhl and Paul Weineke.
