Motorcyclist Hit By 2 Cars On SR 16 Dies [Update]
The crash happened just after 10 p.m. Monday near the Purdy on-ramp to SR 16.

GIG HARBOR, WA - A 32-year-old motorcyclist from Olalla died Tuesday after he lost control of his bike along the on-ramp to SR 16 from Purdy Drive last night. After being ejected from his bike, the motorcyclist was hit by at least two vehicles along SR 16, according to Washington State Patrol.
Near 10:15 p.m., David Jones was traveling at a "high rate" of speed approaching the westbound on-ramp to SR 16 from Purdy Drive. Jones lost control of his Augusta F3 800 motorcycle and was ejected from the bike. He was thrown into the westbound lanes of SR 16.
Jones was then hit by a pickup truck and a semitrailer, according to state patrol. He was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries.

The crash is still under investigation and state patrol is looking to talk to anyone who witnessed it. Call state patrol at 360-473-0300.
