Naked Man Caught Masturbating Assaults Pierce Deputy

VAUGHAN, WA - This gives new meaning to the phrase "naked and afraid."

A Pierce County deputy recently found himself alone fighting a man who had been caught on a surveillance camera naked and masturbating. The suspect first tried to box the deputy, and then allegedly hurdled a piece of glass at the officer.

The incident happened last Friday around 6:30 p.m. along Wright Bliss Road near Vaughan. A homeowner got an alert on his phone that his home surveillance system had detected a trespasser. The homeowner looked at the footage on his phone and saw his 53-year-old neighbor, fully naked, masturbating in front of his home.

When a Pierce County deputy responded to the scene, he found the suspect hiding in a car port made out of tarp material. When the deputy unzipped the front of the tarp, he saw the suspect inside - but by that time he had put his clothes back on.

The deputy asked the suspect to step outside of the car port, but the suspect apparently refused, instead assuming a "boxing stance." The deputy deployed his Taser, but the suspect fought it off.

The deputy backed out of the car port, but the suspect allegedly advanced on him, according to police. The man then picked up a piece of glass and hurled it at the deputy. The glass chunk hit the deputy on the wrist, and so the deputy tackled the suspect to take control of the situation.

By that time, a second deputy had arrived at the scene. The man was taken to jail on charges of indecent exposure, resisting arrest, third-degree assault, and an outstanding warrant.
