New Gig Harbor Safe Sitter Classes Opening

The classes teach life-saving skills to young babysitters.

GIG HARBOR, WA - The Gig Harbor Fire Department is opening up a new round of Safe Sitter classes timed around mid-winter breaks.

The classes teach young babysitters in grades 6 through 8 skills like CPR, basic child care, and even business skills. Gig Harbor is offering classes over the February and April school breaks. The department has 12 spots open over each of the breaks.
