Pierce County Detectives Searching For Child Rape Suspect
The sheriff's office believes the suspect may be hiding out on the Olympic Peninsula.

GIG HARBOR, WA - Pierce County officials are asking for help locating a man who allegedly sexually abused a child over the course of several years.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office believes that Gilbert Greenwood, 51, may be hiding out on the Olympic Peninsula. He is wanted on four counts of first-degree rape of a child and one count of first-degree child molestation.
Police say Greenwood was first arrested on those charges in 2013. After bailing out of jail, he skipped a September 2014 trial date and hasn't been seen since. According to reports, Greenwood showed a child pornography, and then sexually assaulted the child over a period of years.

Greenwood is described as 6'4", 265 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. If you see or know Greenwood, police advise you call 911. If you have information about his recent whereabouts, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
