Seen This Pickup Truck? Police Seek SR-16 Hit-And-Run Suspect
A Puyallup tribal police car was hit Tuesday by a pickup truck that crossed into the SR-16 merge.

TACOMA, WA - A dark-colored pickup truck struck an unmarked Puyallup Tribal Police car Tuesday night at the intersection of I-5 and SR 16 in Tacoma, according to state police. The officer in the severely damaged vehicle was unconscious at the scene but was treated and released after being transported to Tacoma General Hospital. The accident occurred when the pickup truck attempted an illegal lane change.

Police said the suspect's Chevrolet pickup truck sustained damage near the passenger door area. The vehicle includes a gray, possibly sun-faded stripe down the side as well as after-market rims. At the time of the collision, the truck had a load of lumber in the bed. The accident was captured on the police vehicle's dash cam.
