Pregnant Woman Injured In Head-On DUI Crash Near Gig Harbor
The woman and her passenger were hit head-on by an alleged drunk driver from Tacoma Sunday night near Purdy.

PURDY, WA - A woman 32 weeks pregnant was injured in a head-on DUI crash along SR 302 Sunday night. The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. near Emerald Drive Northwest. Four other people were injured in the crash, including the alleged drunk driver.
According to state police, a car driven by a 19-year-old woman from Tacoma was heading eastbound on SR 302 when it crossed into the westbound lane and hit the pregnant woman's car head-on. The pregnant woman, Shayla Dodson, 23, of Port Orchard, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment. Her passenger, Kimberly Dodson, 43, of Gig Harbor, was also taken to the hospital.
The 19-year-old driver of the offending car was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault. Her passengers, Miranda Willoughby, 20, of Tacoma, and Kaitlin Taylor, 19, of Tacoma, were taken to St. Joseph's for treatment.
