Peninsula HS Bus In Crash With 30+ Students On Board
A car crashed into the bus around 7:30 a.m. Thursday near Peninsula High School.

GIG HARBOR, WA - Firefighters responded to a collision involving a school bus and a car early Thursday morning in Gig Harbor. The crash happened near the intersection of 144th Street Northwest and Peacock Hill Avenue and 31 Peninsula High School students were on board.
As of 7:30 a.m., Gig Harbor firefighters were on scene assessing injuries. The crash was described as "low speed," however. Near 8 a.m., the bus was moved to Peninsula High School so the passengers could be assessed.
By 8:30 a.m., firefighters cleared all the bus passengers with no injuries.
