Stolen Kayaks Recovered In Gig Harbor Area
Do you recognize these kayaks? Pierce County deputies are looking for the rightful owners.

GIG HARBOR, WA - Pierce County deputies recovered a cache of stolen kayaks recently, and they want to reunite the boats with their rightful owners. Police found the stolen kayaks after a sting operation in Gig Harbor last week.
Last Thursday, two kayaks were stolen from a home in Gig Harbor along 90th Avenue Northwest. The homeowners quickly located their stolen items on the app OfferUp. Pierce County deputies put together a sting operation, agreeing to meet the OfferUp seller at the Gig Harbor Target store.
At the meetup, the seller bragged to the undercover deputies about how his friends stole kayaks to make "some quick money." The seller also bragged that his friends had stolen other kayaks.
