Thief Who Stole From Gig Harbor Boating Team ID'd
He pilfered the backpacks of the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kayak Racing Team while they were out on the water, police say.
GIG HARBOR, WA - A man who stooped to stealing from the backpacks of a local youth boating team may soon face justice. Gig Harbor police have identified the man and are on the lookout.
On Oct. 25, the Gig Harbor Canoe and Kayak Racing Team was out on the water practicing. Some members of the team had left their backpacks onshore. The thief took advantage of the team and raided their backpacks.
Police publicized photos of suspect last week. The department has tentatively identified him, and are now working on finding him. If you have tips about this case, contact Gig Harbor police at (253) 851-2236.
