Sinking Tugboat In Gig Harbor Stable: Police
If you see police and fire activity downtown Monday morning, it's due to a sinking ship.

GIG HARBOR, WA - Gig Harbor police and firefighters successfully stopped a tugboat from sinking downtown Monday morning. Police have said they do not believe the tugboat poses an environmental threat right now.
The tug was not abandoned. The owners have arrived on scene to move the vessel, according to police.
In late 2016, a private boat sunk in the harbor, spilling about five gallons of diesel fuel into the water. The Coast Guard was able to contain the spill before it spread.
