As surprising as it might sound - some people actually read my football blogs! Amazing!
In fact, way back in Week 2, after I posted the College Football blog that identified SMU as the team that overcame the largest deficit to win an FBS college football game, one Gig Harbor resident informed me that there is actually a Gig Harbor High School graduate who plays on SMU.
Well, SMU did it again. This week, they came back from a 21 point deficit to beat the Temple Owls. So, of course, I had to check out the roster and sure enough - not that I doubted her - Gig Harbor's own Troy Castle is a defensive back for the Mustangs. Although Troy is not mentioned in the article, statistics show that he did play in the game and recorded 1 tackle. How about that?!
So there, see, someone does read my blog. You can read about SMU's Week 9 come-back victory by clicking here.
