Beck tutors other high school students, preparing them for SAT tests, as well as science and math courses. Already honored as a National Merit Semi-Finalist, he hopes to be selected as a Finalist next year. Beck hopes to attend an Ivy League school and eventually focus his career on cancer research.
He and his father attended the Gig Harbor Midday Rotary luncheon to help recognize his success as he received a Certificate of Achievement. Beck spent a few minutes telling about the Gig Harbor High School Cross Country team and his success. He is hopeful he will return to the State meet and finish first this year and move on to the nationals. Congratulations Beck! We appreciate this excellent representative of the talent of Gig Harbor’s youth.
