2-Alarm Fire Damages Kirkland Apartment Building
The fire broke out Tuesday morning before sunrise at the Westview Apartments.

KIRKLAND, WA - A fire in a Kirkland apartment complex early Tuesday morning caused heavy damage, but firefighters reported that no one was injured.
The fire began on the exterior of the Westview Apartments, 10835 Northeast 68th St., and moved into the building. The size of the fire drew help from departments around the region, as far away as Renton.
The fire briefly closed a stretch of Northeast 68th Street east of the PCC store, but the roadway had reopened by around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
