2 Kirkland House Fires Strangely Similar
Two homes in Kirkland far apart caught fire Wednesday night under eerily similar circumstances.

KIRKLAND, WA - Two homes in Kirkland burned Wednesday night during a power outage, and the fires shared eerie coincidences, according to city officials. The two fires were less than a mile apart, and the second fire broke out about 40 minutes after the first one.
The first fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. along the 14100 block of 123rd Avenue Northeast in the Kingsgate neighborhood. Firefighters were able to get that fire under control quickly and everyone in the home made it out safely.
About 40 minutes later, firefighters responded to another blaze in a home along the 150 block of 117th Place Northeast, just about a mile southwest of the first fire. The fire was more intense than the first, and firefighters had to attack the blaze from outside of the home. No one was injured, however.
