7 Kirkland Playgrounds Closing For Maintenance
Current work plans will close seven playgrounds for annual maintenance.

From The City of Kirkland: Crews from the City’s Parks and Community Services Department typically conduct routine maintenance during the off-season months in order to prepare for spring. Current work plans will close seven playgrounds for annual maintenance. The following playgrounds will be closed beginning Friday, February 16, for approximately two weeks:
· Houghton Beach
· Houghton Neighborhood

· Juanita Beach
· Mark Twain

· North Kirkland Community Center
· South Rose Hill
· 132nd Square
Crews will be refreshing and refilling wood chips, as well as assessing the playgrounds, conducting routine repairs and removing any roots that may be growing under the play surface.
Completing this maintenance during the forecasted cold and wet conditions will help minimize impact to park users.
