PSE Outages Down To 54,000;
Hundreds of scattered outages were affecting Puget Sound Energy customers between Woodinville and Renton Tuesday morning.

KIRKLAND, WA - Thousands of people in the Puget Sound Energy service area were without power Tuesday morning. The largest outages were in Renton, Redmond, and Kirkland, but there were dozens of small outages scattered across eastern King County.
By 1 p.m., the number of outages was down from a high of about 75,000 to 54,000.
One of the largest outages was affecting about 3,300 people in the Finn Hill area in Kirkland. The outage was first reported around 11 p.m. Monday, but PSE had not given an estimated time for restoration. Another 3,400 were without power in the Kingsgate area. That outage began around 6:15 a.m. and also did not have an estimated time for restoration.

In Renton, more than 5,000 were without power in the Highlands area between May Creek Park and Northeast 4th Street, but that outage was mostly fixed by noon. Another 8,500 were without power between Fairwood and Lake Youngs.
A total of 72,000 PSE customers in the state were without power at around 7 a.m. Tuesday. The rain and heavy snow that fell Monday into Tuesday was thought to be behind some outages. Tree limbs laden with snow were collapsing, and so were power lines.
