A cautionary tale about aerosol, open flame...and a spider.

While we don't want to find humor in anyone's misfortune, we did spot this amazing true story on today's news, reported by KOMO News 4.

It would seem that the tenant of this West Seattle rental property decided to get rid of a spider by burning it down, and instead set his house on fire. Damage is estimated to exceed $60,000.

I'm sure we can all think of a number of other more reasonable methods to remove the spider. Even calling an exterminator would have been far less expensive. So please remember - FIRE is not a solution to any pest, ever. Never use any household aerosol or flammable liquid and flame to try to eradicate any pest.
