• Three injured in three-car collision on US101 in Pacific County (chinookobserver.com) — Several Kirkland residents were hurt Monday when their Chrysler Pacifica was struck in a three-car collision on US 101 near South Bend, sending one person by air ambulance to a Tacoma trauma center. State Patrol says a northbound Tesla crossed the center line, hitting an SUV and then the Kirkland family's minivan, which went down an embankment. Investigators cite distracted driving as the preliminary cause, though everyone was wearing seatbelts.
