• Taylor Morrison Purchases Kirkland Site for $27M, Plans Townhomes Development (connectcre.com) — A long-vacant Rose Hill Village shopping center on Northeast 85th Street in Kirkland is set to become a new Taylor Morrison townhome community called Rose 85 after a $27 million purchase. The Kirkland-based seller dropped earlier office-tower plans as demand cooled, and construction is now aimed at delivering new housing by late 2027, reshaping a key neighborhood gateway.
   

• Kirkland detectives looking for info on 20-year-old cold case homicide (kiro7.com) — Kirkland police are renewing their call for tips in the unsolved 2006 homicide of 23-year-old resident John Schuoler, found dead in his Kirkland apartment from blunt force trauma. Detectives believe someone locally may remember a conversation or detail that could finally identify a known acquaintance responsible, and anonymous tips are eligible for a CrimeStoppers reward.
   

• SOU SOCCER: Gaspar puts in 90th-minute winner for Raider men (rv-times.com) — College soccer fans in Kirkland just saw Southern Oregon's men steal a 90th-minute winner and the women post a 2–0 shutout in Cascade Conference play at Northwest University. The matches featured late drama, standout goalkeeping, and extended unbeaten streaks for both Raider squads on Kirkland's home turf.
