Larry Petry is a native Washington artist who presents a diversity of materials and subject matters in his paintings and sculpture. A fine arts education at Western Washington University created a need for variation and exploration in his work. Larry’s paintings explore varying subject matters, presented in rich, bright translucent colors produced by combinations of dyes, glues, gels, acrylics, and textiles. The combination of multiple materials and heavily textured surfaces produces powerful pieces, almost demanding viewers to touch.
