MEOW 'Sidekick' of the week - Hugo
It's hard to beat a good tabby, and Hugo is a supremely handsome, loveable boy!

MEOW is proud to introduce Hugo as cat of the week. Hugo is one of many cats who was rescued from a large colony of free-roaming cats. Being a homeless cat is a brutal life that is filled with challenges and struggles. Thankfully, Hugo now knows the comfort of having a tummy full of nutritious food, a warm, safe place to sleep and the love of humans.
Hugo is a three year old domestic short hair, brown classic tabby. It's hard to beat a good tabby, and Hugo is a supremely handsome, loveable boy! He is a lap cat, who loves being held. He knows his name and meows in response when called. He's a little shy and apprehensive at first, but this melts away with a gentle voice and loving touch.
During his intake exam, it was noted that Hugo had some cloudiness in his left eye. He was examined at Northwest Animal Eye Specialists and it was discovered that he has a scar on his cornea and a faint cataract in the lens. Both of these are faint and not causing significant vision impairment, nor are they expected to progress.

Hugo scored as a Sidekick on the Meet Your Match Feline-ality Assessment: "Like all sidekicks, I'm just plain good company. I like attention, and I also like my solitude. I don't go looking for trouble but I'm no scaredy-cat, either. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further."
