Merrill Gardens

The Kirkland Senior Council is organizing our 16th annual Senior Art Show, which will be hosted by Merrill Gardens in downtown Kirkland (14 Main St S, Kirkland, WA 98033), from June 5 to 12.&nbsp;If you are age 50 or older, you are eligible to participate.&nbsp; You do not need to live in Kirkland to participate, all neighboring communities are welcome.
There are multiple categories in which to enter, such as photography, oils &amp; acrylics, sculpture, and more! There are no entry fees, and you can enter multiple pieces of art in multiple categories.
Merrill Gardens will be hosting a reception on June 5, from 5 to 7 PM&nbsp;which will include&nbsp;hors d’oeuvres, a no-host bar, and music! Join us and show your creativity!

Celebrate summer in full color at Kirkland Urban Daylight Disco on Saturday, June 13 from 1 PM–3 PM — a joyful outdoor celebration honoring Pride, community, and the sunshine-filled season ahead. Kirkland Urban’s plaza transforms into a vibrant daytime dance party filled with live DJ sets, playful entertainment, interactive pop-ups, festive photo moments, and family-friendly fun for all ages.
Guests can dance through the plaza, explore themed experiences, enjoy roaming entertainers, and join the colorful Mini Pride Parade. Families and little ones can get creative at the community craft station, cool off in splash-worthy play areas, and enjoy face painting, balloons, and hands-on activities throughout the event.
The celebration will also feature a special appearance by the Mayor of Kirkland, including an official Pride Proclamation reading honoring and recognizing the LGBTQIA+ community. With inclusivity, connection, and celebration at the heart of the event, Daylight Disco invites everyone to come together, show their colors, and celebrate Pride in full daylight.
Event highlights include live DJs, themed beverage tastings, interactive surprises, community resources, festive installations, family activities, and more. Free and open to the public.

their vehicles along Front Street in historic downtown Issaquah. The car
