Cash Prize For LWSD Students Who Run A Business

Calling all teen entrepreneurs: Teen CEO business competition offers funding for teen small business owners.

KIRKLAND, WA - From Lake Washington School District: Attention Lake Washington School District (LWSD) high school students! Do you own and operate a business? If so, you could win a cash prize in this year’s Teen CEO competition.

LWSD will hold its fifth annual Teen CEO Business Competition on March 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Lake Washington School District Resource Center (16250 NE 74th Street, Redmond WA 98052).

To qualify, LWSD students must currently own and operate a small business. The business cannot be co-owned by a parent or another adult. To enter the competition, students must complete the application by January 5, 2018.

At Teen CEO, students compete in a “Shark Tank” style competition for cash prizes. Students will connect with business leaders who are passionate about helping students fulfill their entrepreneurial dreams. Teen CEO provides students the opportunity to:

· Demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills;
· Think creatively;
· Problem solve;
· Work collaboratively;
· Assume personal responsibility;
· Exhibit a strong work ethic;
· Display resiliency;
· Create a strong business plan; and
· Become involved in their local community.
