Celebrate Día De Los Muertos In Kirkland Saturday

Kirkland neighbors are invited to the Peter Kirk Community Center this weekend for some traditional day of the dead festivities.

KIRKLAND, WA — The city of Kirkland will host its inaugural Día de los Muertos celebration this weekend, inviting neighbors down to the Peter Kirk Community Center for a celebration honoring loved ones who have died.

Families are welcome to share their personal traditions, tell stories, make paper flowers and sugar skulls, and place traditional ofrenda to honor the memory of their ancestors.

“We’re excited to be offering this inaugural Día de los Muertos event for our community,” said Kirkland Deputy Mayor Jay Arnold. “Please enjoy this Day of the Dead celebration to remember family ancestors and enjoy traditional activities, food, music and more!”
