Do You Think Kirkland Is 'Great'? Survey Says Most Do
The results of the city's community survey are in. People think Kirkland is pretty great, but not as many in past years.

KIRKLAND, WA - The results of the city's biennial 2018 Community Survey Report are in, and it appears that most Kirkland residents are pretty enthusiastic about living here.
The results of the survey came from a phone poll conducted in early May (over 500 people) and an online survey of over 900 people. Some of the top line findings include that most residents (82 percent) feel Kirkland is either an excellent or great place to live. However, the research firm that conducted the phone poll pointed out that the share of people who called Kirkland "excellent" this year (39 percent) has fallen compared to 2016 (47 percent).
The top concerns for Kirkland residents are traffic, population growth, and over-development, according to the poll. The share of people concerned about population growth doubled since 2016 up to 12 percent in 2018.
