Dr. Maze's Amazing Corn Maze Opens Friday in the Sammamish Valley
The farm's seasonal attraction is ready to challenge young and old to navigate its twists and turns.
The 5.5-acre corn maze is open at Dr. Maze’s Farm in Redmond. This year the design is in the shape of a honeycomb, bees and sunflowers (see diagram). It’s been a tough year for bees, the cooler weather has not made it easy on the local pollinators, and the farm owners said they wanted to salute the hard-working creatures.
The farm is in the Sammamish Valley just east of Kirkland's Juanita neighborhood on NE 124th St. in Redmond.
This year there are mazes within the maze, according to farm organizer Carol Calhoon. There are six hidden mazes within the larger maze, including the Turning Sad to Happy Maze, Hop Dots, The No Left Turn Maze, The Honeycomb Maze and the Tunnels of Hops Maze.

In addition there will be rubber duck races, bubble blowing and a children’s craft table, among other activities, Calhoon said. There are also pumpkins for sale as well as Dr. Maze botanicals products. Local honey is also for sale, but because of the cool weather it’s in limited supply.
New this year are the Rubber Duck Races where for $2 you choose a rubber duck and pump the old fashioned hand pump as fast as you can to propel your duck to the finish line.

Farm Tots adventures are back this year on Fridays and Saturdays. The adventure will start with an introduction to the farm, followed by self-paced activities: crafts, a hayride, kids' mazes, visiting farm animals, and exploring the farm with the other farm visitors.
Every Friday from 2:-3 p.m. Bubble Friday where kids can use the farm’s bubble potion and bubble wands to make bubbles.
The farm is open from Friday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission to the corn maze is $7. Other activities range from free to $8. Click here for a full pricing list.
