Escaped Seattle Inmate Arrested In Kirkland

Jeffrey Allen Beach, 29, escaped from a work crew at a warehouse in Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood on Friday afternoon.

KIRKLAND, WA — The 29-year-old prisoner who escaped from a work crew in Seattle last week was arrested at a Kirkland home on Monday afternoon, according to the state Department of Corrections.

Jeffrey Allen Beach was with a Corrections Industries work crew on Friday morning at a WSDOT warehouse along 6th Avenue South on when he escaped. He was arrested without incident around 2:30 p.m. Monday by Kirkland and Seattle police, according to the corrections department.

Beach just began a 43-month sentence in March after being convicted in King County of auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, second-degree possession of stolen goods, and identify theft He was incarcerated at the Cedar Creek Corrections Center near Olympia.

No one was hurt during Beach's escape, a WSDOT spokesman said on Friday.
