This introductory workshop by the Eastside Genealogical Society will cover how to get started in your genealogy research and some dos and don'ts on collecting and organizing your data. Genealogical resources to be discussed will include: published indexes, abstracts, transcriptions, county histories, tax records and many others. We will cover many local resources such as the Family History Centers, genealogical and historical societies, The Fiske Genealogical Foundation Library, just to name a few. Major online resources will also be covered. Bring your questions and our genealogists will help you find answers!
