Woman Injured In Finn Hill House Fire

The fire broke out just after noon Thursday at a home along 143rd Street.

KIRKLAND, WA - A woman and two animals were injured in a single alarm house fire in the Finn Hill neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. along the 9300 block of Northeast 143rd Street. When Kirkland firefighters arrived, flames were visible coming from the rear of of the house, and an injured person was seen on the second floor.

Kirkland firefighters were able to get the injured woman out of the house, and she was taken to Evergreen Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Two animals were also injured in the fire, and were treated by firefighters for smoke inhalation.

The fire occurred at the edge of the Kirkland city limits, so crews from Redmond, Bothell, Woodinville, and Kenmore assisted Kirkland in putting out the fire. The department is investigating what caused the fire.
