Happy Valentine's Day, KPC Comedy and Celtic Music

  • Happy Valentine’s Day! Saint Valentine is rumored to have been martyred by Claudius II for marrying Christian couples during the third century, thereby earning him the popular title as Patron Saint of Romantic Love. Though many by the name of Valentine -- meaning valor or bravery -- have made their mark, the one to whom we pay homage is largely a mystery. Nothing connecting him to romance is found until the 14th century when English poet Geoffrey Chaucer made reference to a fictional tradition in “Parliament of Foules.”
  • Laugh it up with Kirkland Performance Center’s Comedy Underground presentation “Love is a Laugh.” Comedian Duane Goad headlines the 8 p.m. performance. Tickets are $29/Adult; $25/Senior. Contains “adult” content.
  • Enjoy the "Celtic Night" music of Geoffrey Castle and Dan Connelly at Wilde Rover. This free show begins at 8 p.m.
