There’s something about an Irish pub that makes it different than other dining and drinking establishments. Maybe it’s the music. Maybe it’s the people. Maybe it’s the beer. Maybe it’s the dark wood and Celtic décor that makes you feel like you’ve just stepped into another place and time.

Whatever it is, Irish pubs are destinations unto themselves. The fact that they happen to serve food to nourish you while you are there is just another bonus.
With St. Patty’s Day quickly approaching, why not escape to Wilde Rover this week? The downtown Kirkland Irish bar and restaurant offers nightly entertainment (click here for a schedule), including Kennedy Brothers Friday night, Big Luv Saturday and Herding Cats most Sundays. Want more traditional Irish music? Pay a visit on Monday nights for Celtic Night (although the restaurant will be closed the Monday after St. Patty’s). Trivia buffs will love Trivia Night every Wednesday.
It just so happens that their food and bevy of drinks is also excellent.
And if you’re looking for a place to get your green beer on St. Patty’s, Wild Rover will be celebrating from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Thursday March 17, with a day of music, traditional food and drink, and more. Get there early. They anticipate selling out.
So escape this week to a place where you can celebrate your inner-Irishman/woman. Escape to the Wilde Rover and raise a glass to good health, good luck and to the goodness of getting out of the house!
