Introduction to Oil Painting

Create a still life in oil in this workshop designed for beginners. Students will learn the basics of oil painting using foundational techniques and methods. Beginning with value studies and monochromatic sketches, followed by limited palette sketches and working from observation, students will receive step-by-step guidance to a full color palette as they complete their paintings. Drawing experience helpful but not necessary. Students should bring a sack lunch.
