Kirkland Adds New Prescription Drug Drop Boxes

KIRKLAND, WA - The city has added three new locations where residents can dispose of prescription drugs safely.

The boxes are part of a King County medicine return program that is funded by drug companies that sell prescription drugs in the area. Residents can drop medicines like painkillers or other dangerous or potentially habit-forming drugs in the boxes.

The Kirkland locations include:

• (New) Kirkland Urban QFC
• (New) Totem Lake QFC
• (New) Evergren Professional Center Pharmacy
• Northeast 85th Street Walgreens
• Kirkland Justice Center
