Kirkland Espresso Shop Closed By King County

King County health inspectors closed a Kirkland espresso joint Wednesday.

KIRKLAND, WA - King County health department inspectors closed a Kirkland espresso stand on Wednesday. Stopwatch Espresso was operating without access to hot water, the health department reported. The espresso shop is located on the campus of the Lake Washington Institute of Technology.

The closure will only be temporary. Once the establishment fixes the violation, health inspectors will allow it to reopen. The closure happened at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, and the exact wording of the violation from King County is: "[I]mminent health hazard of operating without hot water to handsink. The establishment will be reopened once the inspector confirms that this issue has been resolved."
